All the products from the Biofases range are 100% natural and quickly degradable. Normally, a plastic straw takes about 400 years to decompose, but Biofase's straws decompose naturally after only one year. The quality is good and the products are particularly strong and durable. An annoyance for many consumers about the more environmentally friendly paper straws is that they become soft when they come into contact with water. The straws from Biofase do not lose their shape in contact with water and are suitable for both cold and hot drinks. The cutlery is also suitable for cold and hot temperatures and, in addition, the products have no by-taste.
Greenfase is a distributor for Biofase in Denmark. Biofase started by making biodegradable disposable packaging of the avocado cheese in Mexico. The company's product range consists of 13, 21 or 26 cm straws that are not wrapped and a 21 cm straw that is wrapped. In addition, they have developed a spoon, a fork and a knife.

Mexico is the largest producer of avocados, the country accounts for 32% of the annual production of avocados. Common to the many avocados — both in Mexico and around the world — is that the avocado stone ends up as waste. The stone is difficult to dispose of for producers. Large mountains of these stones are found in Mexico, which end up at the recycling site, where they are burned. This results in a large emission of CO2 that contributes to damage to the environment. With Biofase's actions, a former waste product becomes functionally usable. Today, about 80% of bioplastics are produced from edible products, such as corn, sugar cane or potatoes. Since Biofases uses the avocado cheese as a material, the waste of resources is reduced.
