Sustainable packaging takes up a lot of space in the political landscape. Where do you start if you want to take part in this transformation? 'Consume and throw away' the culture/economy is broken and action must be taken.
The linear economy produces huge wastes of resources worldwide, which strain the environment to such an extreme degree that this has become a political issue.
What does the economic model for sustainable packaging look like? And how do we as a society ensure that we also have access to valuable resources in the future?
The circular economy has roughly outlined four themes that can be explored as a company if it wants to take a step towards sustainable packaging.
Continuous Circuits:
The goal of 'refuse, reuse, reduce and recycle' is that the raw materials of the packaging form part of a continuous cycle, which aims to eliminate the “end-of-life” concept. It is therefore a new way of thinking about production and consumption that is environmentally and commercially sustainable.
The inspiration for the circular economy is not really that distant from the world we live in:
Worm is eaten by bird, which is eaten by fox — fox dies, and becomes nourishment for plants and soil, which is eaten by worm etc.
With an estimated forecast of 622 million tonnes of plastic produced by 2035, there is no doubt that action should have been taken 10 years ago and today at the latest. What are the elements that make it difficult just Taking the sustainable step?

See, among other things, this case from Angelic Land, which is taking major environmental steps with sustainable packaging.
